About us:

The owners of the B&B are Hrund and Gústi. Hrund is the hostess and loves meeting new people from all around the world. She is always happy to help and if needed gives tips about what to see and do in and around Vík.

It had been our dream for a long time to open up a Bed & Breakfast and in august 2014 we finally made it happen. We rebuild the ground floor of our house and changed it to two rooms, 1 with 3 beds and the other with 2 beds.

About our house:

Our house was build in the years 1925-1926. It has a long and a rich history. It’s original purpose was a hospital and the residence of the local doctor. It was built after the same blueprints as other doctor residences both in Flatey and in Hofsós.

The architect of the house was Guðjón Samúelsson who was a famous icelandic architect. Amongst other projects that he did were the national hospital of Iceland (Landspítali), Hallgrímskirkja, University of Iceland, Borg Hotel, National theater of

Our house is in a great location and in a walking distance from all services and with a spectacular view over the town.
