“Hrund was very nice and accommodating. She was flexible with our arrival time and greeted us with shark meat and Icelandic liquor. She offered great recommendations for the area. The room was very clean and was separate from the rest of the house so it was private. She left a delicious breakfast for us in the morning too! I would highly recommend anyone to stay here.”

“This was our favorite place to stay out of all the airbnb’s we experienced in Iceland – an absolute delight! Our host was so kind and helpful, the room was comfortable, beautiful and clean and the private bathroom was marvelous. The breakfast was generous and delicious with homemade jam amongst many other things. What a treat”

“Hrund is an awesome host! She is very friendly and helpful and her homemade breakfast basket is delicious; full of meat, cheese, fruits, skyr and juice! Water in the fridge too! The beds are comfortable and the private bathroom is awesome. If I were stay in Vik again, I would definitely choose to stay with Hrund.”

“Hrund’s house is a great place to stay in Vik! It is up on a hill close to the church with a great view of the town and beach. She was great about communication prior to our visit and also had tons of advice on places to see and activities around Vik. The breakfast picnic was also really filling cheeses, meats, skyr and fresh fruit. Thanks Hrund! If we are in Vik again we will definitely stay at the Kosy Vik!”

“A warm and cosy and quiet room. Close to town, restaurants and sights around Vik. Hrund was a wonderful host and gave us plenty of information about restaurants and things to see and do. We even got to sample a little fermented shark and the local spirit. Breakfast was simple and eaten in the room with breads, meats, cheese, skyr, fruit and homemade conserves (the rhubarb one was extra tasty) with tea and coffee in the room. Enjoy your visit!”
